Mintzkov
Formed in Lier in the late '90s, frontman Philip Bosschaerts, guitarist Daan Scheltjens, bassist Lies Lorquet, keyboardist Pascal Oorts, and drummer Minchul Van Steenkiste, aka Belgian rock outfit Mintzkov Luna, first found fame when they won the prestigious Humo's Rock Rally Contest in 2000. Following the release of their 2003 debut album, M for Means and L for Love, they shortened their name to just Mintzkov and released their follow-up, 360°. They teamed up with producer Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream, the Kills) for their most successful record yet, 2010's Rising Sun, Setting Sun.
