Lucas Grabeel
Actor and singer-songwriter Lucas Grabeel is best known for his portrayal of Ryan Evans in the musical film 'High School Musical'. In his teen years, Grabeel performed at his local church and also set up an all-male a cappella group. His first acting role was in 'Halloweentown High' in 2004, a part he reprised in 2006's sequel 'Return to Halloweentown'. After several minor television roles including 'Veronica Mars' and 'Smallville', Grabeel got his big break when he was cast in 'High School Musical' in 2006, returning to the screen for the film's two sequels in 2007 and 2008.
Post-'High School Musical', Grabeel began writing his own music, beginning with 'You Got It' and 'Trash Talkin''. He returned to the screen in 2008 with a supporting role in gay rights film 'Milk', also appearing in 'College Road Trip' (2008), 'The Adventures of Food Boy' (2008) and 'Dancing Ninja' (2010). 2009 saw him take to the stage alongside Eric McCormack and Harry Groener for the musical 'The Fantasticks'. In 2011 he landed a role in television series 'Switched at Birth' which ran for five seasons before coming to an end in 2017. The following year he starred as Laurie in the American drama 'Little Women' with a cameo in mockumentary 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' in 2019.
