Kettel
Kettel is Reimer Eising (born 1982), inhabitant of the city of Groningen in the Netherlands and a trained classical pianist, has been a key figure in the ambient electronic music scene that emerged from the early 00's. Along his path starting with his debute on the Planet Mu label in 2003 have been several EP’s and albums on his co-owned Sending Orbs label and several outings on the legendary Rotterdam based Clone label.
He is well-known for his delicate, melodic, playful melodies uniting elements of electronica, classical music, jazz and acid stirred into flawless, memorable compositions with always a unique focus on harmony and counterpoint.
Kettel has frequently toured all over the world with a special notoriety in Japan and the US.
Outside of his released music, Kettel has put his musical mark on 2 popular videogames with Ibb & Obb (2013) and Park Beyond (2023) and has won several awards as a composer for bespoke music in several media.
