Juan Zelada
This singer and songwriter from Madrid relocated to the U.K. in the mid-2000s, studied at Liverpool's Institute for Performing Arts, moved to London, and proceeded to earn a living singing in bars, on cruises, and in restaurants, all the while trying to break into the music business. Zelada's big opening came in 2011, when his single "Breakfast in Spitalfields" became a BBC Radio 2 favorite. His debut album, a polished, mainstream pop/soul affair titled High Ceilings & Collarbones, appeared in early 2012.
