Ibo

The German pop singer Ibo, real name Ibrahim Bekirović, was born on July 22, 1961 in Skopje, SR Macedonia. He has been a full-time musician since the end of the 1970s. in 1983, he recorded his first record, Verlang ich zuviel, before scoring his first big hit in 1985 with "Ibiza" . This made Ibo a guest on numerous music programs on television. This was followed by further hits and the record Schlaflose Nächte (1989, number 86 in the German charts), which made him one of the most successful pop stars of the 1980s. After 1 o'clock at night (1994, 33rd place in Austria), Ibo took part in the German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest two years later. He came fifth with his song "Der liebe Gott ist ganz begeistert". After the release of his album Volles Programm in 1998 and Ich Zuerst in 2000, Ibo dies in a car accident on November 18, 2000 while returning from a performance in Austria.
