Henry
Henry Lau, who often goes by just his first name, is a Canadian singer and musician of Chinese descent who studied music at school in Toronto and gained the attention of South Korean music firm SM Entertainment in 2006. He played the violin on Super Junior's 2007 music video of 'Don't, Don' and joined a sub-group called Super Junior-M in 2008. He returned to music study at Berklee College of Music in America and collaborated on tracks with Leeteuk, Jonghyun and Jino and went on tour again with Super Junior-M. He had other collaborations with acts such as Girls' Generation, Yoon M-rae and Hyoyeon and he won regional music awards.
His 2013 solo debut EP 'Trap' went to number two on the South Korea albums chart and number three on Billboard's World Albums chart and his second, 'Fantastic' (2014), reached number two in South Korea and number six on the World Albums chart. In 2018, he announced that he had signed with AXIS, a new South Korean creative platform that would release more solo recordings and the single 'Untitled Love Song' came out. His 2019 schedule was to include an appearance at Freiberger Sommenächte in Freiberg, Germany.
