Daniel Küblböck
Pop singer Daniel Dominik Kaiser-Küblböck (born on August 27, 1985 in Hutthurm, Lower Bavaria, West Germany), and better known as Daniel Küblböck, found fame after competing in the first season of Deutschland Sucht den Superstar (DSDS) – the German version of Pop Idol – in 2002. He soon caught the attention of BMG, with whom he signed a recording contract and scored a German Number 1 for his first single in 2003, "You Drive Me Crazy." His debut album, Positive Energie, also arrived that year and went to Number 2 in his homeland, gaining a gold certification. He went on to release a string of albums, including 2009's Jazz Meets Blues... Wenn zwei sich verlieben, 2012's Diez años Kúblbóck – Ich versteh' nur Spanisch and 2016's Jesus is My Lover. In 2010, Daniel Küblböck came out as gay after previously declaring himself bisexual. In September 2018, he went missing at sea off Canada after jumping overboard while traveling on a cruise ship and was declared dead on March 10, 2021. During the trip, Daniel Küblböck came out as trans on social media, saying that she wanted to live out her true female identity as Lana Kaiser.
