Bülent Arel
Arel is a composer of electronic music, educated at the Ankara Conservatory and also in Paris in sound engineering. He worked for Radio Ankara and later as a technician for the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center in the USA. He became a citizen of the US in 1979. He has taught at Yale and served as professor of music at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His compositions include Music for String Quartet and Tape and Electronic Music no. 1.
