Bigkaybeezy

Chicago rapper BigKayBeezy specializes in relentless and threatening lyrical flows, but occasionally breaks from his tough persona to explore melodic singing and R&B-informed hooks. He began making music as a teenager but quickly gained attention in 2020 for his breakthrough single "Bookbag," and its subsequent remix featuring chart-topping fellow Windy City talent Polo G. His 2021 album Don Juan further solidified the rapper's presence, and included featured appearances from Sada Baby and Pooh Shiesty. BigKayBeezy was born in 2001 and raised in Chicago. His father had been active in Chicago's rap scene in the '90s, and encouraged his son to explore music early on. BigKayBeezy was recording his own tracks and sharing them online as early as age 14, but it wasn't until the release of his 2019 song "Bookbag" that things really began to take shape for his career. The raw but infectious song caught on like wildfire, and in 2020, the rapper released his first full length album GG4L. Before 2020 was over, second full length project Bad Intentions arrived, including a remix of "Bookbag" with new contributions from Polo G. Beezy signed with Interscope Records as he continued accumulating millions in streaming numbers. He contributed a freestyle verse to one of many remixes of SpotemGottem's signature track "Beat Box," and then third album Don Juan was released in July of 2021, featuring appearances from Sada Baby and Pooh Shiesty, and also seeing BigKayBeezy branch out somewhat stylistically.
