Antònia Font
Formed in 1997 in the Catalan region of Spain, Antònia Font were led -- as such -- by guitarist and composer Joan Miquel Oliver, who focused the band's direction by limiting the lyrics not only by subject matter (the future, robots, etc.) but also by dialect, choosing to write in the native dialect of Catalan specific to Majorca, where the band has its real roots. Their first album, Antònia Font, was released in 1999. Despite a few lineup changes, the band has continued unabated, and by 2010 had released five more full-lengths. Antònia Font's 2007 LP, Coser i Cantar, featured an orchestra.
