2AM
Best known for chart-topping K-pop hits like "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die," "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls," and "I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me," 2AM is a South Korean boy band featuring singers Jo Kwon, Lee Chang-min, Jeong Jin-woon, and Lim Seul-ong. The group formed in 2008 in Seoul, South Korea, where all four members crossed paths while appearing in the television series Hot Blood. A documentary about young entertainers vying for a spot in a new pop group, Hot Blood led to the formation of One Day, a short-lived band whose 11-member roster was soon split into two smaller groups: 2AM and 2PM. 2AM's first single, "이 노래 (This Song)," was released in 2008 and failed to chart. Nonetheless, 2AM topped the Gaon Digital Song twice in 2010. The first of those number 1 hits was "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die," which doubled as the title track of the group's debut EP. "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" also won 2AM a number of awards, including "Song of the Year" fro the 2010 Melon Music Awards and "R&B Ballad Award" from the 2011 Seoul Music Awards. "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls," 2AM's second number 1 hit of 2010, appeared on the group's debut album Saint o'Clock later that year. The gold-certified Saint o'Clock reached number 2 in South Korea and number 3 on Japan's Oricon Daily Album Chart. The album was followed in 2012 by F. Scott Fitzgerald's Way of Love, an EP that reached number 1 in South Korea and spawned the band's third chart-topping single, "I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me." Two albums, Voice and One Spring Day, were released in 2013, as was the EP Nocturne. After releasing the full-length record Let's Talk in 2014, the band took a break before reuniting for another EP, 2021's Ballad 21 F/W, as well as 2022 standalone single "Though You're Gone," returning in 2024 with "If You Change Your Mind" (혹시 니 생각이 바뀌면) and "Echoes of Love's Journey" (사랑은 먼 길을 돌아온 메아리 같아서).
