Porter
Mexican indie rockers Porter began playing together in Guadalajara in 2004. Originally an instrumental band, the group consisted of Fernando de la Huerta and Victor Valverde on guitar, Juan Pablo Vázquez on drums, and Saúl Figueroa on bass. The lineup was completed with the addition of vocalist Juan Son and, a year later, Porter released their debut EP Donde los Ponys Pastan, which gave the band its first taste of national fame with the radio hit "Espiral." Preceded by the single "Host of a Ghost," Porter's first studio album Atemahawke appeared in 2007 and was presented through a handful of live performances in the United States. The band dissolved shortly after their first-ever Coachella gig in 2008 and all of its members focused on their respective solo projects. In 2013, Porter reunited to play at the Vive Latino festival with musician David Velasco filling in for Juan Son. A new album titled Moctezuma appeared in 2015 and was followed by Las Batallas in 2019. Released in 2022, their fourth full-length La Historia Sin Fin featured the singles "Sonámbulo," "Sol@," and "Cachito de Galaxia" with Spanish singer Ana Torroja.
