Stalking Gia
Stalking Gia's moody, electronic-laced pop plays with desire, obsession, and the ever-blurring lines between fantasy and reality over the sleek grooves of singles like 2016's viral hit "Second Nature," 2020's "The Kindest Thing," and 2022's "Happy Birthday."
New York-based singer, songwriter, and actress Tiffany Giardina spent her childhood acting in Broadway musicals and television commercials. In 2014, after a pair of pop albums under her own name, she began making music as Stalking Gia. For this more mature side of her work, she took aesthetic inspiration from artists ranging from Audrey Hepburn to David Bowie, while her sound recalled the edgy electro-pop style of artists like Banks and Tove Lo. Beginning with the sultry "Second Nature" -- which racked up millions of streams and was sampled on Blackbear's "Wish U the Best" on his 2017 album Digital Druglord -- she released a series of singles that explored her darker side. These included 2017's "Siren" and the 2018 tracks "PTSD" and "Miracles," a collaboration with Blackbear.
In 2020, Giardina signed to Epic Records and released her debut single for the label, "The Kindest Thing," that April. The track was the first song from her Season 1 EP. Additional singles like "Worship" and "Saddest Happy Girl" arrived over the next two years, with the song "Happy Birthday" capping off 2022.
