Winner of several music competitions and a frequent guest artist at festivals across Europe, pianist Nathalia Milstein is a rising chamber musician and soloist. Born in 1995 to a musical family -- her father is pianist Serguei Milstein and her sister is violinist Maria Milstein -- she began taking lessons at age four, and became a student at the Geneva Conservatory of Music in 2009, when she was 14. She studied with Nelson Goerner at the Haute école de musique in Geneva, where she completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and continued studying with Goerner at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin. Milstein won first prize in the 2015 Dublin International Piano Competition, which led to performances in Europe and North America. She also competed in the Concours FLAME in Paris, winning first prize, and won the first prize at the Geneva Conservatory of Music competition three years in succession. Other competitions have included the fourth Manchester International Concerto Competition for Young Pianists, the Grand Concours International de Piano in Corbelin, and the Adilia Alieva Piano Competition in Gaillard. In 2017, she received the Young Soloist Prize from the Médias Francophones Publics. Milstein has worked with Daniel Barenboim, Mikhail Voskresensky, Jan Wijn, Enrico Pace, Vladimir Tropp, and Menahem Pressler, and since 2018 she has received guidance from András Schiff at the Barenboim-Said Akademie ~ Blair Sanderson
