During his five-album stay at Capitol, Freddie Jackson repeatedly showed himself to be a soul man of unusual merit. Ranging from outstanding to decent, all five of his Capitol albums are worth owning. But if a listener is allotted only one Jackson CD, The Greatest Hits of Freddie Jackson is the logical choice. From "Rock Me Tonight," "Nice & Slow," and "Tasty Love" to "I Could Use a Little Love (Right Now)" and "Jam Tonight," all of the essential Jackson material is included. The CD does a fine job of summarizing Jackson's accomplishments at Capitol and proves that his extremely devoted following is well deserved.
