Picture Postcard Walls, Far Too Jones' first album for Mammoth Records, may suffer from a faceless production and songs that are a bit too predictable, but it's nevertheless an engaging collection of post-jangle, adult alternative Southern-pop. They sound quite similar to contemporaries like Hootie & the Blowfish and Sister Hazel, and like those bands, when they have the right song and hook, the results are quite pleasing. Far Too Jones doesn't come up with those songs quite often enough to make Picture Postcard Wall consistently entertaining, but when they do have the right song, as on the single "As Good As You," it's a nice diversion.
