MCA Nashville/Chronicles' 2005 release Love Songs contains 13 romantic highlights from Don Williams' classic-'70s recordings, plus a couple of selections from the early '80s. Williams was at his peak as both popular recording artist and singer during this time, as this enjoyable collection illustrates. While this doesn't have all of his big hits, it has several of his signature songs and the lesser-known tunes here are excellent, making this a first-rate romantic compilation.
