Twintig jaar na de Engelse Summer of Love, maakte rave een comeback en Prodigy van Liam Howlett, de enige originele ravegroep die nog actief is, kon niets beters gedaan hebben dan mee te gaan. Maar Invaders Must Die is een vreemde nu-rave opname, alsof de sound van 1991 gefilterd is door de sound van 1996, en er slechts een mengelmoes aan uptempo dansmuziek ontstaan is met extroverte beats en groezelige basloopjes. Als dat klinkt als je gemiddelde elektronica plaat van rond de millenniumwisseling, ook al is hij geproduceerd door een van z'n grootste helden, dan begrijp je bijna hoe deze nu-rave plaat van the Prodigy klinkt.
