Who knew that when Mexico's Cristian Castro released Viva el Príncipe in 2010 (his tribute to the master José José), it would result in what is now a trilogy of recordings. A second tribute followed in 2011, La Historia Continúa: Viva el Príncipe, Vol. 2, which contrasted with its earlier companion by focusing on tunes that were more relaxed and accessible in their interpretations rather than strictly formal ones. The third offering in this series is Celebrando al Príncipe, issued in 2012. But this is not so much a new tribute as a compilation of the best tracks from the previous two offerings and includes two new selections, as well: Versions of ""Mi Vida" and "Pero Me Hiciste Tuyo."
