An uncompromising crossover thrash outfit based out of Richmond, Virginia, Enforced combines punk, death metal, hardcore, and thrash in an unstoppable sonic assault that evokes the punitive stylings of pioneering extreme metallers like Bolt Thrower, Amebix, and Sacred Reich. They released their debut long-player, At the Walls, in 2017, followed by their Century Media-issued sophomore album Kill Grid, in 2021, and the unrelenting War Remains in 2023.
Enforced formed in 2017 around the talents of vocalist Knox Colby, drummer Alex Bishop, bassist Ethan Gensurowsky, and guitarists Zach Monohan and Will Wagstatt, all of whom had ties to the fertile Richmond hardcore punk scene. The band released their debut album, At the Walls, in 2017 via Los Angeles-based indie War Records and spent the next two years on the road, sharing stages with contemporaries like Red Death, Iron Reagan, All Out War, and Integrity. The well-regarded At the Walls eventually caught Century Media's attention, and it added the band to its roster. Returning to the studio with ATW engineer Bob Quirk (Iron Reagan), the band put the finishing touches on their sophomore effort before sending it to be mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Cavalera Conspiracy). The resulting Kill Grid arrived in 2021. Clocking in at just over 30 minutes, 2023's primal War Remains delivered another rampaging set of modern crossover thrash.
