In 2020, Eslabon Armado released three albums that topped the Mexican Regional charts. They released Tu Veneno Mortal, Vol. 2 as a duo. A much more emotional affair, this 12-song set (penned by guitarist/vocalist Pedro Tovar, with brother Bryan providing bass and vocals) is a deeply resonant emotional journey about the cycles of personal and romantic relationships. A bit mellower than its predecessors, it is an altogether deeper album that reveals Tovar's ever-expanding musical vocabulary as he integrates jazz guitar vamps into modern, yet always welcoming corridos.
