For this set, Ernestine Anderson (who is joined by pianist Monty Alexander, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Jeff Hamilton) mostly sings overly familiar songs, doing her best to uplift such tunes as "Summertime," "God Bless the Child," "Satin Doll" and even "You Are My Sunshine" and "Sunny." Ernestine's voice sounds fine and her interpretations reasonably fresh, but some of the tunes really did not need to be revived again.
