Good friends B.B. King and Bobby "Blue" Bland toured together frequently in the 1970s and '80s, King's elegant call-and-response guitar style and Bland's R&B-fused blues singing fit well together. The pair recorded two live albums together, Together for the First Time in 1974 and Together for the First Time…Live, the latter recorded at the Coconut Grove in Los Angeles in 1976, and this set draws select tracks from those two releases.
