Peach PRC

Australian pop singer Shaylee Jade Curnow, who operates professionally under the moniker Peach PRC, transitioned from a prominent social media personality to a full-on pop star with the release of her 2021 major-label debut "Josh." Two years later, she issued her first EP, Manic Dream Pixie, which reached number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. Born in Adelaide, Curnow's stage name was inspired by Princess Peach Toadstool from Nintendo's Mario Brothers franchise and an abbreviation for porcelain (PRC). She used the full name (Peach Porcelain) while performing as a stripper and later adopted the abbreviated suffix for social media. Her online channel, where she posted about her struggles with mental illness and substance abuse, amassed a considerable following, and grew even more significant after she released a pair of independent singles, "Blondes" and "Colourblind." In 2021, she inked a deal with Island Records in Australia and Republic Records in the United States and released the hit single "Josh," an upbeat bubblegum pop song inspired by an ex-boyfriend looking to get back together. A string of respectably charting standalone cuts, including "Heavy" and "Forever Drunk," followed in its wake. 2023 saw the release of Curnow's debut EP, Manic Dream Pixie, which included the streaming hits "F U Goodbye" and "Perfect for You."
