K. Sivaangi
Born on May 25, 2000 in Thodupuzha, Kerala, Indian playback singer, TV star and actor Sivaangi Krishnakumar kicked off her singing career in 2009 with the song "Anbaale Azhagaagum" for Tamil-language children's film Pasanga. She grew up in a musical household as the daughter of Kalaimamani winners Krishnakumar and Binni Krishnakumar and went to school in Chennai after moving there as a child. Following her 2009 debut, she avoided the spotlight for the next ten years until stepping out as a contestant on the Indian Tamil-language reality television singing competition Super Singer 7 in 2019. Joining the comedy cooking show, Cooku With Comali, also helped to raise her profile and she won a trio of awards in 2021, including Best Entertainer of the Year (Female) at the Blacksheep Digital Awards and Most Popular Female in Reality Television by Behindwoods Gold Icons. That same year, she re-started her singing career via "Asku Maaro" with composer Dharan Kumar, also putting her voice to "Talku Lessu Worku Moreu" for the movie Murungakkai Chips alongside Sam Vishal as well as amassing a handful of other film songs. She also contributed to several independent songs in 2021, including "Adipoli," which was composed by Siddhu Kumar. 2022 saw her add to her film music repertoire with "Neethanada" for the Indian Tamil-language romcom Enna Solla Pogirai, as well as provide vocals for independent songs "Vennilavum Ponni Nadhiyum" among others.
