Isaac Scott
b. 11 June 1945, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, USA. Scott's family moved to the west coast in the late 40s, settling in Portland, Oregon, and Isaac was exposed to both gospel music and blues as a youngster. Until the 70s he worked with gospel groups, but in 1974 he chose to concentrate on blues, while he was living in Seattle, Washington. His guitar playing reflects the influence of Albert Collins, and his singing and repertoire reveal strong elements of blues, soul, and gospel. Scott has had two albums released by Red Lightnin' and live material has been issued by Solid Smoke and Criminal.
