Hervé

Full name Hervé Le Sourd, Hervé was born in Saint-Cyr-l'École, Yvelines, on February 19, 1991. He grew up in Fontenay-le-Fleury, a town in the same département between Versailles and Trappes, and discovered music through rap and the French touch. His curiosity was aroused by Air and Phœnix, who toured in the United States, but it was at a Jacques Higelin concert that it all clicked. Alongside his passion for soccer, which nurtured his dreams of professionalism, the young man soon began to create his first songs on his computer. He finally passed his baccalaureate at the age of 20, but studies no longer fascinated him and he moved to Paris to live his dream. He then formed the electro-pop duo Postaal and managed to secure tour dates as far afield as England. In 2017, while working in the same studio as Yodelice, the latter suggested he write a song for Johnny Hallyday, whose latest album he was about to produce. Hervé sent him several texts, one of which was finally chosen by the Idol. Having built up enough confidence to launch a solo career, Hervé Le Sourd took the plunge and, spotted by the Initial label, saw the opportunity to open for Eddy de Pretto at the Zenith. He then prepared for the release of his first proper album, Hyper, in 2020.
