Danetra Moore

Hailing from Stockton, California, contemporary gospel singer Danetra Moore was born into a religious and musical family, and began singing in choirs and recording professionally by age ten. Amidst several years of finding work backing the likes of Kirk Franklin, Vicki Winans, Brian Wilson, Trace Adkins, Ne-Yo, Ledisi, and many more, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Moore finally took the spotlight in 2012 when she released a single about working-class struggles titled "All I Can Do Is Pray" shortly before her appearance that summer on Season Five of the gospel singing competition Sunday Best on U.S. cable network BET. Her third-place finish led to a record deal with Tyscot in 2013. Moore's debut album, Light in the Dark, was expected in the fall of 2015.
