Bastian Baker
Switzerland's Bastian Baker was less than twenty years old when he launched his career in 2011. He performed at the Caprices festival in Crans-Montana, before being invited by Claude Nobs to perform on the off-stage at the Montreux Jazz Festival. His debut track "Lucky " triggers a national phenomenon, quickly followed by the album Tomorrow May Not Be Better (2011). After an appearance on the French TV show Taratata, Bastian Baker embarked on a tour supporting Nolwenn Leroy. In 2012, his version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" became a hit in Switzerland, Belgium and France. The song was not, however, included on his next album Too Old to Die Young, released in October 2013. Its successor, Facing Canyons , flanked by the singles "Everything We Do", "Planned It All", "Tattoo on My Brain" and "Ain't No Love", saw the light of day two years later. The singer then embarked on a 150-date world tour that took him to four continents. However, it wasn't long before he was working on a new opus. He unveiled a first single: "Five Fingers" in 2017 ahead of its release. But the record was shelved for an exceptional opportunity: he opened for Shania Twain on her world tour. His self-titled third album was finally released in 2018 and, like its predecessor, reached number two in the Swiss charts. Two years later, the singer adds a new track to his repertoire, "Hère We Go", recorded with Yves Larock, which enters the best-selling singles chart in his country, reaching number 50.
