Carried by artists and producers such as Prince Buster, Coxsone Dodd or Duke Reid, it develops thanks to their sound systems which play their hits in the streets. In 1965, the ska rhythm slows down to make way for rocksteady, which would lead to the birth of reggae… In only a decade, ska and rocksteady have left behind an incredible number of gems in the history of 20th century popular music.
