Indigo
On the back of their artistic success both nationally and internationally, in 1992 Label Bleu launched Indigo, a labeldedicated to modern ethnic music. Led by Chritisan Mousset, who was also in charge of the Musiques Métisses d'Angoulême festival, the label’s aim is to work with artists in a variety of musical languages, supporting them and prioritising cultural identity and local creation. Around 100 albums have been created so far at the label, giving light to talents such as Rokia Traoré, Ballaké Sissoko, Boubacar Traoré, Rajery and Djelimady Tounkara. In 2015 Indigo released the final album by Bamba Dembele, “Bamba Wassoulou Groove”, which brought the legendary musician together with a new generation of musicians. Looking forward to 2016, the label will release the next album from Djelimady Tounkara and Mamadou Barry.
