When producing and composing his music, Parviz has his eyes set on the outernational realm. The French-Persian producer taps into global influences to create a rich sonic tapestry, where celestial melodies and lush rhythm sections complement one another. A sound that spans far and wide, from the oriental ballads of Zerzura (Omena Records) to the perky syncopes of Alerte à Babylone (FHUO Records), produced in collaboration with Folamour.
An unexpected marriage of cultures on full display in his DJ sets, where borders crumble and styles coalesce: Persian ritornellos meet Brazilian boogie gems, Afro-Caribbean hymns greet New York salsa swaggers. On parquet floors or in hushed places, Parviz’s music has a vibrant story to tell: one of mirth and dance, of sublimation and surrender.
