Miguel Campello

Born in Elche, Spain in 1979, Miguel Campello moved to Madrid in his early twenties to try making it as a musician. In 2001 he formed the fusion group Elbicho with some of his mates from the Escuela Popular de Música de Madrid. Over the next ten years, the band released five albums and earned numerous accolades for its unique blend of flamenco and progressive rock. When Elbicho went on hiatus in 2011, Campello decided to release his solo debut, Chatarrero. The well-received album mined the same stylistic terrain as Elbicho, which was unsurprising since Campello was the group's singer and one of its main composers. Its sequel, Chatarrero, Vol. 2: Pájaro Que Vuela Libre, appeared in 2013, followed by Camina in 2014 and Agua, Pan, Amor y Vino in 2016.
