Egill Sæbjörnsson
Egill S (real name Egill Saebjörnsson) hails from Iceland, but unlike his ethereal-sounding regional counterparts (Sigur Ros, Bjork, etc.), Egill S specializes in funky rock à la Beck and Prince. In addition to music, Egiil S (who resides in Berlin) also has experimented with films and constructing art pieces. In November of 2001, he issued his debut album, Tonk of the Lawn, through the Thirsty Ear label in the U.S.
