Candiru
One of many duos quick to jump on the industrial music bandwagon made temporarily ultra-hip in the early '90s by the highly successful Ministry, Pat McCahan and Kipp Johnson formed Candiru in Harrisburg, PA. However, unlike Ministry, Candiru (aptly named after a South American "vampire" catfish known to infiltrate and feed off an unsuspecting host's urethra!) substituted layered guitar overkill for more widespread use of samples and programmed beats. The results could be heard on the band's one and only album, Unloved and Weeded Out, which was released in 1993 by Relapse Records.
