Big Band of Brothers
Big Band of Brothers is a sophisticated, modern big band featuring a collective of pro studio and session players.
Based in Nashville, the Brothers were put together by producer/engineer John Harvey as an outlet for combining traditional big-band charts with music from outside the jazz genre. In 2019, the group debuted with the Allman Brothers tribute album, A Jazz Celebration of the Allman Brothers Band. The album featured contributions by the band's guitarist, University of Alabama School of Music Jazz Studies director Tom Wolfe, as well as guest spots by trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, slide guitarist Jack Pearson, and singers Marc Broussard and Ruthie Foster.
