Nominated in 2017 for the Mercury Prize with their captivating first album Love In The 4th Dimension, the English four piece The Big Moon are back to tackle the “difficult second album”, with determination and serenity. Notably the determination to preserve the freshness of their first album while simultaneously demonstrating some artistic growth and developed expertise since then. The result means that Walking Like We Do sounds a touch more mainstream than its predecessor, but is by no means less interesting. Recorded in Atlanta by producer Ben Allen (a talent of the industry who has worked alongside M.I.A., Deerhunter, Bombay Bicycle Club and Animal Collective), the contemporary pop is blended with pinches of synth pop, luxurious R&B and even some vintage sounds.
