The Fire is the second album from former X-Factor victor Matt Cardle. After just one release, his debut Letters, Cardle parted ways with Simon Cowell's pop factory and here enjoys greater freedom on his output. Co-written alongside 2009 Ivor Novello songwriter of the year Eg White and prolific hit writer Steve Booker, the rugged crooner recorded and wrote the songs in London, Toronto and Las Vegas. Highlighting his various talents, Cardle played most of the instruments on the album himself including on lead single “It’s Only Love”.
