Mubarak was featured on an earlier World Circuit release with a small group, but this is a much better release: Mubarak as the Sudanese hear him, backed by a ten-piece group including accordion and saxophones. A fine live recording (made at a London concert), it shows off one of the most exciting and least known of the Afro-Arab pop idioms.
