In your panoramas...
How reggae conquered American Pop

Not since the days of Bob Marley has Reggae enjoyed such a high profile. For three years, hits by the stars of North American pop have taken on a distinctly Jamaican flavour. From Beyoncé to Rihanna, via Drake or Justin Bieber, more and more pop artists have taken to superimposing their voice over dancehall tracks. Dancehall, the "club" version of reggae, was popularised in the mid-1980s by the legendary producer King Jammy with Sleng Teng, the first electronic reggae track in history. Let's take a look at this velvet coup.

Soulwax, renewable energy

A decade after their last album, the Dewaele brothers are back with a Soulwax album, produced in their new Deewee studio. Following the awesome soundtrack for the film Belgica, a new era is ushering in for the Belgian brothers who, after making the planet dance with their mixes and remixes as 2ManyDJ’s, are once again pushing the boundaries of creativity.

John Carpenter, Image and Sound

John Carpenter is one of those directors who composes his own music for his own films. For the upcoming release on the 20th October of an album for which he re-recorded his most famous themes (Anthology: Movie Themes 1974 - 1998), we return to the double-hatted master of horror and action films.
