Carman's notorious eclecticism is apparent again, but in a weak collection that includes as much filler as significant work. Carman's showpiece on this album is a song based on spy movies, for some reason -- one hardly looks to a 007 soundtrack for musical inspiration. This becomes the basis for a number of incomplete pieces that add nothing to the album as a whole. Also included are boring numbers meant to be singalongs (the righteous "People of God" and "Jesus Is the Lamb"), a pointless reworking of the Lord's Prayer ("The Prayer Anthem"), and a shameless rip-off of "I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel" ("We Are Not Ashamed"). He forces his usual sermon-song and kids' song, neither of which compare to his prior work. The strongest song on the album is the ballad "Never Be," and it's really the only one that bears repeated listenings. Carman's legion of fans may find this release worthwhile, but he has certainly done better.
