With the early-2013 announcement that Wisin & Yandel had not broken up but were taking a break, the time was right for a place-holding compilation, hence La Historia de el Dúo, Vol. 1. Chart-topping hits like "Abusadora," "Me Estas Tentando," "Sexy Movimiento," and "Llamé Pa' Verte (Bailando Sexy)" all help this history lesson perform double duty as an early-career greatest-hits collection, plus the set checks off the "superstar guest shot" box by including the hit "Follow the Leader," featuring Jennifer Lopez. An easy and excellent intro to the reggaeton duo at their most slick and stylish, but don't confuse it with the less glittery and like-titled 2009 set El Duo de la Historia.
