What flexibility! Canadian Pat Lok does the splits with one foot in proper vintage disco and the other in most definitely contemporary house. With Hold On Let Go’, the producer based in Vancouver releases a particularly enjoyable first album of pure hedonistic and radiant dance floor, while still literate. Pat Lok knows his classics well and each aspect of his songs is meticulously produced. Beats, vocals, melodies, references, tones: anything this fan of old Madonna albums and Claude Debussy’s music touches turns to dance gold.
