Keyboardist Mitchel Forman's 1993 Lipstick release is essentially fusion with plenty of complicated chord changes, arrangements and individual solos. Forman, Billy Drewes (on various saxophones) and the crack rhythm section are excellent but the music (all but two of which are Forman originals) is not all that distinctive and none of the songs have memorable melodies. In fact, there is a sameness to much of the music which, although well executed, puts more of an emphasis on technical flash than heart. This is an easier date to respect than to love.

Album review
