Easily one of the biggest names in disco, Giorgio Moroder became iconic, his reputation for crafting hit records ultimately making him the producer of the disco era. He worked on easily recognizable platinum hits for Donna Summer, Blondie, Berlin, and countless others but his work in soundtracks, production, and archived tracks goes deeper than most of his peers. Released in 1985, From Here to Eternity...and Back is a completely instrumental collection of sounds in the vein of (or culled directly from) Moroder's 1977 masterstroke, From Here to Eternity. His glassy space disco sounds flow through extensive workouts like the 15-minute album opener "Evolution" as well as banging Euro-disco tracks from the original album such as "Utopia -- Me Giorgio" and "Lost Angeles."
