"Forget Me Nots" and "Remind Me" excepted, this budget compilation from the Warner-distributed Flashback is arbitrary, skimming across Patrice Rushen's albums for Elektra: 1977's Patrice, 1979's Posh, 1980's Pizzazz, 1982's Straight from the Heart, and 1984's Now. Compilations like this are rarely designed to be completely helpful or exhaustive, and Forget Me Nots is no exception, leaving out several significant chart entries and standout album cuts. Any other Patrice Rushen compilation, such as 1996's Haven't You Heard or 2002's Essentials, is preferable to this one. No "Music of the Earth," no "Number One," no "Haven't You Heard," no deal.
