Released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the historic concert at Paris' Olympia that launched him into the French public's consciousness, Ar Pep Gwellan (Le Best Of) is a two-CD retrospective of Celtic harp virtuoso Alan Stivell's influential career. The first disc features 16 of his most popular tracks spanning from 1971's Renaissance de la Harpe Celtique ("Ys") right up to 2002's Beyond Words ("La Celtie et l'Infini"), including "Tri Martolod," "Suite Sudarmoricaine," and "Mna Na Heireann," while the second features 12 remastered performances taken from his million-selling live album, A l'Olympia.
