Profound Hatred of Man originates in 1997, when Shai Hulud issued its first single. Since that time, this Florida hardcore unit has broken so many barriers inside and outside the genre its almost difficult to classify them. Profound Hatred of Man. issued by Revelation. assembles together the bands' first single and album of the same title. The breakneck tempos, crushing guitars, tempo shifts, and genre changes are all here, especially in their treatment of covers such as Bad Brains' "Fearless Vampire Killers," Metallica's "Damage Inc.," and Negative Approach's "Lost Cause."
