Tonic amassed a total of six charting Billboard singles between 1996 and 2002 -- enough for a greatest-hits album but not a long one, and at 12 songs, Casual Affair: The Best of Tonic is certainly not long. Released as a tie-in for the band's 2009 reunion tour, Casual Affair has all those hits -- the biggest of which is 1997's "If You Could Only See," which reached number one on the Mainstream Rock chart (but "Open Your Eyes" and "You Wanted More" also reached the Mainstream Top Ten) -- plus six other highlights from their three albums, adding live versions of "Sugar" and "Irish" as well as an acoustic version of "You Wanted More," whose presence helps fill out the collection even if it adds ever the slightest feeling of padding to a collection that's a good, basic overview/introduction to Tonic.
