Sun Seeker
Idioma disponível: inglêsNashville combo Sun Seeker play a blend of loosely psychedelic indie rock with a strong focus on melodic songwriting and shades of '70s pop and classic country-rock. The easygoing sensibility of their music is belied by the precision of their performances, which are tight and tuneful while giving the songs room to breathe. Sun Seeker first made their way to the national stage with the 2017 EP Biddeford, while 2021's full-length A Sunrise in a Basement added a bit more sophistication to their production and arrangements. A trio of friends who've played together in various formations since middle school, vocalist and guitarist Alex Benick, bassist Asher Horton, and drummer Ben Parks officially launched Sun Seeker in 2013, self-releasing a five-song demo late that year. Their shows quickly made them a favorite in the local club scene, and their music caught the attention of Jack White's Nashville-based label Third Man Records. Their debut for Third Man was a 7" single, "Georgia Dust" b/w "No One Knows," issued in February 2016 on both black and tri-colored vinyl. For the single sessions, they were joined by keyboard player Austin Edwards. Their first EP, the five-song Biddeford, arrived in the summer of 2017 featuring second guitarist Rodrigo Avendano. In the first months of 2020, the group (now back to the trio of Benick, Horton, and Parks) began work on their first full-length album, and Misra Records released A Sunrise in a Basement in June 2021.
